Safety spectacles

Safety spectacles have a shield attached in the temporal region in order to protect the eyes from laterally incident dust, etc. According to DIN, a predetermined tightness must be maintained between the shield and the spectacle frame, depending on the intended use. Shields rigidly fixed to the frame are bulky. According to Fig. 2 the shield is firmly connected by its upper edge region to the associated earpiece of the spectacles. Thus, it swings out together with the latter. Its front edge terminates at the spectacle frame with the tightness specified by its structure. In order to avoid any impairment thereof by the inclination setting, the earpieces of the spectacles have a bending zone (53) behind the shield. The inclination is adjusted by bending the earpieces of the spectacles. Application in industrial and domestic safety spectacles.
