发明名称 LIGHT DEFLECTING DEVICE
摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain a linear electric field distribution in crystal and obtain a high scanning speed and high resolution by providing plural groups of four electrodes in plane-symmetrical shapes to plane type electrooptic crystal, and applying different potentials to every electrode couple. CONSTITUTION:Electrode groups 20-70 each consisting of four electrodes which are symmetrical with adjacent electrodes about planes and are projecting arcuate end sides in the opposite orthogonal directions are vapor-deposited on the top and reverse surfaces of the electrooptic crystal 11. Those electrode groups are supplied with potentials having the opposite polarities at adjacent electrodes, and electric power sources 25, 35, and 45 supply different potentials to facing groups 20 and 50, 30 and 60, and 40 and 70 to obtain the linear electric field distribution in the crystal body 11, so that the refraction index distribution is also linear. Therefore, incident light from a no-electrode part is deflected excellently, and a light deflecting device makes a highspeed scan to have high resolution.
