PURPOSE:To make it possible to easily provide an emergency power supply and as well a working power supply, by mounting a power generating mechanism which may engage and disengage drive power from a drive shaft for the drive wheels of an automobile to the wheel side. CONSTITUTION:Drive force from a drive shaft 1 engages and disengages between a raised part 14 on the drive shaft 1 side and a boss 11 on the wheel side, which are splinedly fitted together by extending and retracting a switching ring 10 in association with the sliding of a clutch lever 20. When a clutch nut 17 is rotated in one direction, the clutch lever 20 threadedly engaged with the inner surface of the nut 17 moves the switching ring 10 so that the raised part 14 and the boss 11 are coupled together to transmit the drive force to the wheel side. When the clutch nut 17 is rotated in the other direction, the switching ring 10 are retracted so that the drive shaft 1 side and the wheel side are disengaged from each other. The input shaft 32 of a power generating mechanism 28 is fitted into the receiving part 40 of the drive shaft 1 and is secured by means of a clamp operating lever 54 to carry out the working. |
