PURPOSE:The titled efficient apparatus having a transparent body, e.g. a transparent rod or transparent pipe, etc. in a cultivation medium, exposing the end of the transparent body to light to disperse and emit the light through the transparent body from the surface thereof into the cultivation medium. CONSTITUTION:Light 7 of sunlight is passed through a convex lens 3, condensed and introduced from the end 4 of a transparent body 2, e.g. a transparent rod or transparent pipe, into the interior thereof and then dispersed and emitted from the surface 5 of the transparent body 2 into a cultivation medium 1. The condensing angle due to the diameter and focal distance of the convex lens 3 are suitably adjusted to introduce most of the light quantity into the interior of the cultivation medium 1. Preferably, the density of the light dispersed and emitted from the surface 5 of the transparent body 2 is as uniform as possible in the respective parts of the surface 5 of the transparent body 2.
