PURPOSE:To obtain an ultrasonic vibrator, a surface elastic wave filter, etc. having excellent piezoelectric characteristics and mechanical characteristics by using a Pb1-xBaxNb2O6 component group material, x thereof is brought to 0.1- 0.60, as the principal ingredient, adding 0.05-1.0wt% MnO to the material as an accessory constituent and manufacturing a piezoelectric porcelain composition. CONSTITUTION:0.05-1.0wt% MnO is added to Pb1-xBaxNb2O6, x thereof is brought to 0.1-0.60, as the principal ingredient as an accessory constituent. A ball made of nylon using Zr as ball media is employed, alcohol is used as a solvent, and these substances are mixed for approximately ten hr. The mixture is dried sufficiently and molded at pressure of approximately 500kg/cm<2>, and calcined and molded for three hr at 850-950 deg.C in an alumina porcelain of high purity. The shape is crushed and mixed, a 2.5% PVA solution is added by 6%, the mixture to which the solution is added is pressed at pressure of 700kg/cm<2>, and a disk having a desired diameter is manufactured.
