PURPOSE:To provide a masking paint which can facilitate the peeling of masking material to thereby improve the operating efficiency and makes it possible to easily judge the curing state, by adding a thermochromic pigment to a paint obtd. by dissolving a thermosetting vinyl chloride resin in a plasticizer. CONSTITUTION:A high-polybase vinyl chloride resin having an average MW of 1,000-1,400, pref. 1,200 ia dissolved in a plasticizer, such as an adipate, a phthalate, or a phosphate, to form a paint having resistance to chemicals and heat as well as durability against plating or soldering. Further, a thermochromic pigment such as methylene blue pigment for blue or phthalocyanine pigment for green or other color is added thereto. By adding the thermochromic pigment, it is becomes possible to judge whether necessary heating Ras been terminated, since the masking paint colored by the pigment becomes colorless when the temp. exceeds a certain level.
