<p>The method involves presenting a digital subscriber line (DSL)-upward channel (13) for data communication to a customer connection, and a DSL-downward channel (14) for reverse data communication. A filter arrangement with a high-pass filter and a low-pass filter is introduced for separating both the channels. The filter arrangement has two filter frequencies that lie in a frequency separation distance and present a frequency range.</p>
