PURPOSE:To enable production of an ultrahomogeneous alloy at a low cost under the sphere of gravitation by cooling and solidifying a mixture of molten metals having different specific gravities under application of an ultrasonic oscillation thereon. CONSTITUTION:A mixture (a) composed of molten metals having different sp. grs. is put into a crucible 1 provided with a heater 2. Heat-resistant ultrasonic wave generating parts 3 are alternately provided to the side walls of the crucible 1 without facing each other to generate ultrasonic oscillations by the control signal voltage from a driving part 4 for an ultrasonic wave generator. The ultrasonic oscillations are then applied on the molten metal mixture in the crucible. Both metallic atoms are fluidized and diffused by the oscillation and the mixture is cooled to solidify when the heater is stopped. The alloy mixed uniformly in the sphere of gravitation is easily obtd.
