PURPOSE:To facilitate stable shrinking process by a method wherein a heating jig is attached on a circumference of an approximately central position of a heat shrinkable tube and transferred continuously toward the end of the said heat shrinkable tube while being operated to make the said heat shrinkable tube shrink successively from the central part to the end. CONSTITUTION:A heat shrinkable tube 2 is put on a jointing part of a cable 1 and a heating jig 3 is attached on a circumference of an approximately central part of the heat shrinkable tube 2. A motor 9 is driven to rotate a screw rod 7 so that the heating jig 3 is transferred from the central part of the heat shrinkable tube 2 toward one end to make the said tube 2 shrink successively from the central part to the end. Then the driving direction of the motor 9 is reversed to return the heating jig 3 to the central part of the heat shrinkable tube 2 and a heating source is applied and the heating is carried out in the same way toward the direction opposite to the former process. With this constitution, the shrinking process of the heat shrinkable tube can be performed safely and steadily. |
