PURPOSE:To obtain a long belt-like body of high strength suitable to V belt, etc. by such an arrangement wherein a cylindrically formed body of hardening polyurethane resin is scraped continuously from its surface by a cutter which rotates relatively in the peripheral direction into a long strip having a specified width and thickness. CONSTITUTION:Polyurethane resin is injected into a cylindrically shaped forming mold 4 and it is cooled and hardened and a hardened polyurethane resin body is obtained. The resin is taken out of the mold 4 and a cylindrically shaped hardened polyurethane resin body 5 is obtained. Said cylindrical hardened polyurethane resin body 5 is chucked in a cutting machine such as a lathe, etc., and it is rotated and cut by an optional cutter 6 into a belt-like body 7 having a desired width and thickness. By this method, a long belt-like body which is excellent in flexibility and elasticity, large in tensile strength, high in abrasion resistance and suitable to V belt, etc. can be obtained. |
