PURPOSE:To improve color reproducibility by irradiating an electronic beam onto a screen for a period shorter than a prescribed period per one stage in a period of each step of a stepwise horizontal deflection voltage so as to eliminate the deterioration of color purity. CONSTITUTION:A clock pulse 2fsc is used as a basic clock of a system, a horizontal period is divided into 455 by this pulse, and a video signal output is applied with PWM conversion. The period required to apply PWM conversion and output one color video signal of one picture element is 63 blocks' share in the 455 dividing period. Then, signal non-output period for 77 clocks' share is produced in one horizontal period. The PWM conversion of the video signal output is fixed at resetting and the rear ridges are synchronized with a changeover timing in ideal waveforms h1, h1. Then, the non-output period for 77 clocks' share is divided into 9 clocks and 14, 17 clocks each and inserted to the midpoint of the timting of each R, G, B signal output as the guard band. |
