Provided are a thin film battery, which has an increased efficient area per unit area of a battery by forming a fine pattern structure on polymer film, and a fabrication method thereof, which produces inexpensive film batteries in a simple manner. The thin film battery comprises a substrate(1) having a fine pattern of an uneven shape, a first current collector(2) forming an uneven layer on the substrate(1), a cathode(3) forming an uneven layer on the first current collector(2), an electrolyte(4) forming an uneven layer on the cathode(3), an anode(5) forming an uneven layer on the electrolyte(4), a second current collector(6) forming an even layer on the anode(5), and a protective film(7) forming an even layer on the second current collector(6).
