PURPOSE:To prevent wear of vanes and vane grooves, by a method wherein an annular groove, a communicating passage, and an orifice are provided, and inclination of vanes is reduced through rotation of a rotor. CONSTITUTION:An annular groove 36 is provided in at least either of side housings, for example, a rear housing so that it is open to the side face of a rotor 10, and a discharge chamber is communicated with the annular groove 36 through a communicating passage. A plurality of high-pressure communicating holes 37, which are open to the annular groove 36, are formed in the rotor 10, and orifices 38, each of which is communicated from the high-pressure communicating hole 37 to a portion in the vicinity of the opening part of a vane groove 22 in a rear side face in the direction of rotation of the rotor 10. This causes the air to be injected to the back of the vane 23, causes creation of a neumatic gearing effect through floating up of the vane 23 from vane grooves 22, and enables prevention of wear occurring between the side face of the vane 23 and the vane groove 22. Further, the exhaust air feed port of the annular groove 36 is formed in an operation chamber on the compression side, and this further increases a pressure fed to the vane 23. |
