INJECTION DEVICE IN VERTICAL TYPE DIE CASTING MACHINE

PURPOSE:To provide a titled device which yields surely and easily an injected product having good quality by the constitution in which a molten steel is injected at a high speed until the molten metal arrives at a cavity to suppress the temp. drop of the molten metal and is thereafter injected at a low speed to prevent the disturbance on the molten metal surface. CONSTITUTION:The ram 16 of an injection machine in a vertical type die casting machine is driven to rise a block 6 together with a plunger 7 and a plunger chip 5 so that the tip of an injection sleeve 4 is fitted to a stationary die 2. This state is detected with a position detector 24 and solenoid operated selector valves 19, 20 are operated to supply pressure oil from a hydraulic supply source 25 through oil flow regulating valves 21, 22 to an injection cylinder 8. The molten metal 10 on the chip 5 is injected at a high speed until just before said molten metal arrives at a cavity 3. Said position is detected by a position detector 25 which in turn actuates the valve 20 to close the valve 22 so that the molten metal is filled by a low speed injection into the cavity 3. The disturbance on the molten metal surface is thus prevented.
