LIQUID FUEL COMBUSTION UNIT

PURPOSE:To eliminate the imcomplete combustion caused by the inclined installation of a combustion unit and further to improve the leakage of fuel even in case of a fall of the unit by a method wherein a supplying of fuel to the combustion wick is performed for example by contacting said combustion wick to fuel absorber such as porous ceramic body. CONSTITUTION:A fuel absorber 8 is installed in a fixed tank 6 and the fuel absorber 8 is made of porous body having material quality which is not damaged by fuel. The connection part 9 with a cartrige tank is constituted without having the fuel absorber 8, the fuel absorber 8 and a wick 2 are contacted with each other at a contact part 10 and a weight 11 for making a positive contacted condition is arranged. The fuel absorber 8 absorbs almost of all the fuel contained in the fixed tank 6 except a certain volume of it to cause the fuel in the fuel in the fixed tank not to be freely moved. Even if the combustion unit is fallen by error, since the fuel in the fixed tank is held by the fuel absorber 8, the fuel may not flow out of the tank. It is not necessary to make a surplus space for storing the fuel in the fixed tank during the fall thereof under a design of large-sized fixed tank.
