PURPOSE:To prevent misregistration of colors from occurring, by a method wherein a transfer paper is previously fed by a one-color amount after a part of a recording paper transferred thereon in one color is released from the transfer paper, then the transfer paper is returned together with the recording paper by rotating a platen, and transfer in the next color is conducted. CONSTITUTION:The transfer paper 2 provided with a plurality of heat-fusible inks of different colors and the recording paper 1 are fed in a laminated condition on the outer periphery of a platen roller 4, and transfer in one color is first conducted by a command from a controlling part 25 consisting of a micro- computer. When the transferred part of the paper 1 is released from the transfer paper 2 by a roller 5, the platen roller 4 is stopped, and only the transfer paper 2 is previously fed by a predetermined length corresponding to one color. Then, the platen roller 4 is reversely rotated to return the recording paper 1 and the transfer paper 2, and transfer in the next color is conducted. Accordingly, since the diameter of the platen roller is small, the overall size of the printer is reduced, misregistration of colors can be prevented from occurring, and an ordinary paper can be used as a recording paper. |
