PURPOSE:To enable quick and accurate read-out of information by providing a blue reflection film in the gap at the portion applied with phosphor substance while containing specific amount of Nd2O3 in the face glass thereby reducing fatigue of eye. CONSTITUTION:Yellow, green and red phosphor substances 1y, 1g, 1r are constituting a phosphor substance applied portion 1. The blue reflection film 3 is employing, for example, SiO2 colored with cobalt pigment and made through same photomechanical process as employed in conventional manufacturing technology of black matrix face. Furthermore the face glass contains 0.3- 1.5wt% of Nd2O3 and employs a selective absorption glass having a sharp light absorption band in such wave length region as 580-590nm. Consequently a display screen having considerably improved contrast when compared with conventional grey background can be obtained. |
