PURPOSE:To stabilize the feeding of a lubricant to a die and to prevent the surface of a wire rod from causing seizure by applying vibrations to the lubricant at the front of the die so as to prevent a vibrator from coming into contact with the wire rod to be worked in drawing the wire rod by the die. CONSTITUTION:In drawing a wire rod 1 to be worked by a die 2, vibrations are applied to a lubricant 4 at the front of the die 2 by a vibrator 5, which is prevented from coming into contact with the wire rod 1. Further, it is preferable to set the position for applying the vibrations just before the die 2, and also preferable to set the distance between the wire rod 1 and the vibrating part of vibrator 5 within about 5cm. |
