PURPOSE:To reduce the maintenance cost by image picking up the video of a desired position by means of a mobile truck, video-recording the image, and transmitting it from a supervising station to a central station so as to prevent damage to a cable. CONSTITUTION:In giving a start command to the mobile truck 11 stopped at the central station 1, the truck 11 moves along a guide wire 9, a support stand 12b is moved in a predetermined direction so as to set an ITV camera 12a. Then, the video recording of a VTR12c is started at the same time and the truck 11 is moved while recording picture. When the truck 11 comes to a magnet 10 for detecting position, a coded number of the magnet 10 is detected by a position detecting sensor 12d, the truck 11 is stopped and the video recording of the VTR12c is stopped. Then, a position memory 12e is updated from the station 1 to the supervising station 2. The video signal is converted into an optical signal at a modulator 12n from a light transmitter 12m and transmitted. The operations above are conducted by each supervising station and the operations return to the station 1 after being circulated over each supervising station.
