PURPOSE:To reverse the direction of discharge through forward and reverse running of a compressor, by a method wherein a flow passage and a discharge valve are mounted on the discharge chamber side and the suction chamber side, respectively, of a cylinder, and a switching mechanism, which is switched and communicated to the cylinder side and the discharge valve side, is located on a flow passage. CONSTITUTION:When a piston roller 10 is forwardly rotated as shown by a solid line arrow mark, refrigerant opens a suction valve 26 on the suction chamber 13b and is sucked in a cylinder chamber 7 through a pipe 17b by means of a communicating hole 24. The compressed refrigerant is moved in a discharge chamber 13a, pushes upward a discharge valve 15a, and closes the suction valve 26 to push upward a plunger 23, whereby a refrigerant passage, extending, in order, through a discharge hole 18, an enclosed case 5, a discharge passage 34, the communicating hole 24, and a pipe 17a is formed. When the piston roller 10 is reversely rotated, after the refrigerant, sucked in the cylinder chamber 7 through a pipe 17a and the suction valve 26, is compressed, the refrigerant is discharged, in order, through the discharge valve 15b, the plunger valve 23, the discharge hole 18, the enclosed case 5, a discharge 34, the communicating hole 24, and the pipe 17b. |
