METHOD FOR CONTROLLING AND SETTING CROWN AND SHAPE IN SHEET ROLLING

PURPOSE:To control highly accurately the sheet crown and sheet shape of a material by calculating and learning a roll-profile estimation error basing on the difference between the measured sheet crown and sheet shape of a preceding material after rolling and the sheet crown and sheet shape calculated by using rolling conditions and using the results for the setting calculation of a succeeding material. CONSTITUTION:In a rolling operation for the purpose of achieving the target sheet crown and sheet shape by computer control; the difference between either of the sheet crown or the sheet shape or both of them of a preceding material measured after rolling the material and either of the sheet crown or the sheet shape or both of them calculated by using the rolling conditions of said preceding material is calculated. A profile estimation error is calculated and learned by using a prescribed equation under an assumption that said difference is caused by the profile estimation error, to use it for the setting calculation of a succeeding material. In this way, the quality and yield of a rolled sheet are improved.
