PURPOSE:To reduce the weight of an electrode plate and extend the life of a cell by using a metal-plated aluminum plate as a connecting plate and a negative electrode plate in an aluminum silver oxide primary cell using a potassium hydroxide aqueous solution as an electrolyte. CONSTITUTION:A nickel-plated aluminum plate 5 and a positive electrode 1 are spot-welded. Even if the aluminum at the spot-welded position is dissipated, the connection between a connecting plate and a negative electrode is maintained due to the existence of a nickel-plated layer, the danger of disabling the discharge is eliminated, and the nickel can be kept at several microns in thickness because of plating, thus the weight can be widely reduced as compared with that of conventional ones using a nickel foil. |
