PURPOSE:To improve the cooling efficiency and prevent insulators in windings from deterioration and burning damage by a method wherein coolant which flows into a cooling duct through an inlet-side header flows with an equal speed at any part of the cooling duct. CONSTITUTION:Partition pieces 20a whose ends are not in contact with side ends of a cooling duct 9 and partition pieces 20b whose ends are in contact with the side ends of the cooling duct 9 and have openings at their center parts are arranged alternately. Spaces between the partition pieces 20a and the partition pieces 20b are crossing flow paths 21 of the coolant and spaces between the ends of the partition pieces 20a and the side ends of the cooling duct 9 are traversing flow paths 22a, 22a of the end sides and the openings at the center parts of the partition pieces 20b are traversing flow paths 22b at the position of the headers. With this constitution, the flow speed at each part of the cooling duct is made uniform so that the cooling efficiency is improved and insulators in windings can be protected from deterioration, burning damage and the like. |
