APPARATUS FOR THE GAME OF TUG-OF-WAR

Apparatus for the game of tug-of-war has an arm (10) supported for pivotal movement on a base (12). Ropes (15) are attached to the upper end of the arm (10). At least one cylinder (16), containing a fluid and a piston (17) is used to restrain the movement of the arm (10). A conduit (20) with a valve (21) in it connects one end of the cylinder (16) to the other end. By opening the valve (21), fluid can flow through conduit (20) to reduce the restraint to movement of the arm (10). A double cylinder embodiment is also described.
