FLAT TYPE NONAQUEOUS ELECTROLYTE BATTERY

摘要

PURPOSE:To improve sealing ability to increase storage life of a battery by forming a sealing member by stacking a base body obtained by impregnating polyolefin resin in glass fibers and a polyolefin resin layer containing carboxyl group. CONSTITUTION:A unit cell comprising a negative electrode 2 of lithium foil, a separator 3, and a positive electrode 4 mainly comprising manganese dioxide is placed between a negative current collector 1 and a positive current collector 6 both made of a stainless steel foil and they are sealed to form a flat type nonaqueous electrolyte battery. A sealing member is formed by a base body 8 obtained by impregnating polyolefin family resin in a cloth or nonwoven fabric of glass fibers and layers 8' obtained by melt-bonding polyolefin resin layers containing carboxyl group on both sides of the base body. When the sealing member is melt-bonded to the current collectors 1 and 6, deformation of current collectors is prevented and sealing ability is improved to increase storage file of the battery.
