PURPOSE:To improve operation efficiency, safety and reliability by enclosing a protective diode between a cover glass and a material for protecting the back surface together with a solar cell. CONSTITUTION:The orders of film formation of solar cell elements 2 and amorphous diode elements 2a for protective diodes 90 take the same type. P type regions in solar cells and N type regions in the protective diodes 90 are connected by solder 11. The solar cells 20 and the protective diodes 90 can be manufactured simultaneously by one-time film formation because diodes film- formed in the same order are used. Consequently, the protective diodes 90 can be enclosed between a cover glass 7 and a material 8 for protecting the back together with the solar cells 20. Accordingly, operation efficiency is improved, and the titled module is extremely advantageous from the viewpoints of safety and reliability. |
