PURPOSE:To permit the use of stainless steel connecting needles without intrusion of small pieces generated from connecting needles into the connecting needles by providing a filter at the tip of the connecting needle of an ink jet printer. CONSTITUTION:A perforated filter 21 made of a ceramic or glass material having good hydrophilicity is pressed into the tip of a connecting needle 20 or with the aid of an adhesive. The many through holes of the filter 21 are preferably formed in parallel with through holes in the connecting needle 20. The connecting needle is inserted into the elastic seal portion of an ink container to enable ink to be supplied for the ink jet printer. The perforated filter preferably should have large numbers of through holes of tens-hundreds mum in diameter or side length. |
