PURPOSE:To enhance center alignment accuracy of an electrode by retaining accurately a support pipe to hold an electrode core slidably upon centering adjustment. CONSTITUTION:An electrode core 1 is supported slidably, and a wire guide 2 of ceramic pipe is inserted into and supported by a guide sleeve 4, where the concentricity of the wire guide between its bore and periphery is approx. 1mum. The bore of this guide sleeve 4 has been finished by lapping to a surface roughness under 2mum. A metal mandrel 3 is fitted by pressure in the guide sleeve 4 with a tight fit of h6-P6, JIS. The electrode core 1 is fixed by a screw 5, and shall be live electrically with the mandrel 3. Thereby the electrode core 1 is put in precision alignment with the mandrel 3 to provide possibility of processing the hole accurately. |
