PURPOSE:To facilitate production by providing a glass frit filling groove corresponding to the end section of an inner tube around the electrode projection of an end plate and constituting this electrode projection higher than the end plate surface. CONSTITUTION:A columnar electrode projection 34 protruding from the end plate surface 33 into an outer tube is formed on a predetermined position of the end plate surface 33. Furthermore, two lead wire inserting holes 23 are provided on this electrode projection 34, and also a frit filling groove 35 accepting an inner tube 4 is provided around the electrode projection 34. Thereby, the frit coating and positioning of the inner tube contact can be correctly performed in reference with the electrode projection, thus the production process of a discharge lamp can be facilitated. |
