PURPOSE:To miniaturize a tool compensating structure in a boring head of a boring machine, by providing such an arrangement that a movable spindle is incoperated through the intermediary of a cam rod and a contact to be engaged and released by hydraulic operation to and from a spindle and as well to be movable radially and axially of the spindle. CONSTITUTION:With aligning the drilling axis of a workpiece W with the axis A of a spindle 5, when hydraulic pressure is cut off, the clamp of a movable spindle 6 is released, and therefore, a cam rod 15 advances. The movable spindle 6 moves in the direction in which its axis B is directed to the position where a facing tool 24 is positioned. Meanwhile, a balancer 29 moves in the direction opposite to the moving direction of the movable spindle 6 to sustain the weight balance about the spindle axis A. Then, hydraulic oil is fed into an oil chamber 9 to clamp the movable spindle to the spindle 5 which is then driven to carry out working. With this arrangement, the miniaturization of a tool compensating structure may be aimed. |
