PURPOSE:To improve the running stability and the recording and reproducing characteristics by providing a disc shaped member having a through-hole penetrated from the front to the rear side between a floppy disc and a fixed stand so as to allow the floppy disc not to cause fluctuation of vertical position. CONSTITUTION:A rigid disc 12 made of aluminum or the like having a through- hole 11 and turned in the same angular velocity as that of the floppy disc 1 is provided between the floppy disc 1 and the fixed stand 3 as the incorporated construction with a spindle 2. In turning the spindle 2 in high speed, air flow toward outer circumference is caused between the rigid disc 12 and the fixed stand 3, a negative pressure is caused between the rigid disc 12 and the fixed stand 3, then the floppy disc 1 is attracted and fixed. The vertical vibration of the floppy disc 1 is reduced during high speed rotation, the distance between the floppy disc 1 and a magnetic head 13 is not fluctuated and read/write of information is attained with stable state. |
