To plug a hole (11) in a wall (10) of a pressure vessel, a hollow expanding plug (15) is used, and drawn firmly against an encompassing conical casing (12). In the hollow space (19) in the plug is a body (18) of higher heat expansion coefficient than the plug material proper. With increased operating temp. the body ensures that the plug is pressed against the casing.(1) |
