PURPOSE:To manufacture a high molecular separation membrane, capable of controlling characteristically the selective function of various materials and serviceable for an oxygen enriching membrane, a resources separating membrane, and an electric charge separating membrane, by using vinyl halide alone and/ or a copolymer, and a nematic liquid crystalline substance. CONSTITUTION:The vinyl halide polymer, used for the membrane, can be selected widely in accordance with the applicable purposes and ranges if only the polymer is compatible with a nematic liquid crystalline substance. The amt. to be used of the nematic liquid crystalline substance can be selected from the range of 5-95pts.wt. to 100pts.wt.vinyl halide (co-) polymer. By using together with an agent for improving selectivity of materials, the effect can be increased, and a substance having high oxygen yielding capacity can be selected suitably. By using crown ether, metallic ions are permeated selectively. When azo crown ether is used, an organic high molecular membrane, capable of accelerating the transportation of K<+> ions with light, can be obtained. |
