PURPOSE:To prevent sticking of a solid matter to a pump, by a method wherein introducing pipes are mounted to the suction and the discharge port of a vacuum pipe to communicated them with a liquid storage tank and an air collecting tank, and the introducing pipes are capable of being open to the open air outside the tank. CONSTITUTION:A suction introducing pipe 7 is branched from a suction port 5 of a vacuum pump 4, a discharge introducing pipe 8 is branched from a discharge port 6, the forward end of the discharge introducing pipe 8 is open to the inside of a liquid storage tak 1, and the forward end of the suction introducing pipe 7 is open to the inside of an air collecting tank 10 communicated with the liquid storage tank 1. A branch passage, being open to the open air outside the tank, is formed with a switch valve 11 located in a place halfway along the introducing pipes 7 and 8. This causes liquid in a liquid feed source to be fed through the liquid storage tank 1 to a liquid discharge port 3 from a liquid suction port 2, resulting in elimination of the possibility of a solid matter to be sticked to a pump or the possibility of blocking to occur. |
