PURPOSE:To make a distinct improvement in safety, by keeping up an auxiliary parking brake operation even in time of a key switch being turned off, while accelerating it so as to be selected to a main parking brake, in case of a braking device capable of securing an auxiliary parking brake action in locking a brake panel solenoidally. CONSTITUTION:When the specified holding conditions such as a running speed, a foot brake operation state, etc., are all effectuated, a lock signal is outputted from a brake locking circuit 12, and a foot brake is held at a braking position by excitation of a solenoid device 10, thus an auxiliary parking brake state is securable. Under this condition, when an ignition key switch 14 is turned off, the said auxiliary parking brake state receives power feed directly from a battery 16 whereby braking operation continues to go on without release but an off operation detection signal is fed to an AND gate 26 from an OR gate so that an alarm 24 is operated, emitting an alarm signal. With this alarm, a driver operates a main parking brake and sets the alarm free by means of output of a release circuit 30. |
