PURPOSE:To strengthen the pivotally supported construction of an equipment wherein a pivotal center shaft serving as a means for steering, a front wheel axle and a front wheel shaft are coupled with each other via respective bevel mechanisms by pivotally supporting the bevel gear on the front wheel shaft along with a carrier integral with the front wheel shaft by means of bearings. CONSTITUTION:In a front wheel drive a pivotal gear case 5 is pivotably supported by a journal boss 10 integral with a fixed gear case 3 to which a front axle housing 2 is attached and a journal boss 11 formed at the lower part of said case 3. A pivotal center shaft 12 which is suspended inside the gear case 3 interconnects via bevel gear mechanism 21 and a planetary gear mechanism 31 a front wheel shaft 4 which is held by the pivotal gear case 5 via bearings 24 and 25. The planetary gear mechanism 31 is held via a bearing by the end part of the front wheel shaft 4 and consists of a sun gear integral with a bevel gear 20, an internal gear 26 firmly mounted on the gear case 5 and a planetary gear 27 which is supported by a carrier 28 stuck to the front wheel shaft 4 and meshes said gears 22 and 26. |
