PURPOSE:To obtain a selective gas permeable membrane, with an improved oxygen/nitrogen separation factor without lowering an oxygen permeable factor and having excellent mechanical strength, by using a composition contg. an electron donative organic compd. in a polymer including polysiloxane. CONSTITUTION:The composition forming the selective gas permeable membrane is composed of a polymer, contg. >=50wt% polysiloxane shown in the formula (R1 and R2 in the formula show a methyl or phenyl group), and 0.5-20wt% electron donative organic compd. The above-mentioned electron donative organic compd. designates a Lewis basic organic compd. such as a molecule contg. an atom having a lone-pair electrons such as oxygen and nitrogen of amine, pyridine, alcohol, ketone, and ester, or a molecule having an electron-charging system such as an aromatic or other unsaturated bond.
