PURPOSE:To reduce the weight of the captioned rotor by preparing at least a rotary shaft which projects from a roller body from composite material and preparing other parts from light alloy. CONSTITUTION:Whisker composite material is prepared by press-molding silicon carbide fiber into a prescribed shape and press-immersing the basic material such as aluminum into the vacant hole parts of the silicon carbide having the prescribed shape or adding whiskers into the basic metal in the molten state, e.g., molten aluminum and then coagulating these material. The whisker type composite material thus prepared is used for preparing a rotary shaft 11 through grinding and cutting, etc. Then, molten aluminum is casted into a metal mold using the rotary shaft 11 as core, and thus the rotor body and the rotary shaft 11 are formed integrally.
