PURPOSE:To improve reliability as a system by using a silicone oil for an intermediate heat medium in a Rankine cycle system in which said intermediate heat medium is directly brought in contact with a power operating medium. CONSTITUTION:An intermediate heat medium heated by a heat source is directly brought in contact with fleon which is delivered from a fleon pump, in a direct contacting regenerator, and the generated fleon vapor is sent to a turbine and, after carrying out work, liquefied in a condenser. On the other hand, the intermediate heat medium is again sent to an intermediate heat medium heater by means of an intermediate heat medium pump. A silicone oil is used for the intermediate heat medium. Thereby, the medium has very poor affinity for a metal corroding product, it can be easily separated when merely left to stand, and it is also stable against fleon. |
