PURPOSE:To simplify a reproducing system and to reduce the cost by irradiating a writing energy beam, detecting an optical electromotive force in case a read-out optical beam is irradiated to a thin film in which information is written, by lowering an optical electromotive force capacity or eliminating it, and reading out the information. CONSTITUTION:A light source means 9 which can move precisely is provided in the diameter direction of a recording disk 1, and when recording information, a laser beam is irradiated to the disk 1 in accordance with the information. This beam passes through a transparent electrode 8 and reaches a thin film 7, causes a damage to its irradiated part, and lowers an optical electromotive force capacity or eliminates it completely. When reading out the information, an optical beam which has a wavelength being almost near an energy band gap of the thin film 7 and causes no damage is irradiated to the disk 1 from the light source means 9. The irradiating optical beam reaches the thin film 7 through the transparent electrode 8, and an optical electromotive force corresponding to the recorded information is generated, and led to a detecting part 10 through the transparent electrode 8 and a rear side electrode 6. In this way, a reproducing optical system is simplified, and also an inexpensive material can be used for the recording thin film. |
