PRODUCTION OF PRODUCT HAVING HEAT INSULATING WALL

PURPOSE:To produce a product having a heat insulating wall at a low cost by spraying directly a heat-resistant metal to a casting mold and providing a heat insulating material on the thermally sprayed film then embedding the casting mold by casting. CONSTITUTION:A heat-resistant metal is thermally sprayed on the surface of a casting mold (molding sand) 1 produced by utilizing microwave heating to form a thermally sprayed film 2. Such mold 1 is put into a mold for forming a heat insulating material and a heat insulating material 3 is cast therein and is heated to form a heat insulating layer. The mold 1 is then set in a master mold 4 to form a product cavity 5 and a melt 5' of an embedding material (cast iron) is charged in the cavity 5 to embed the mold by casting. The product having the metallic layer (thermally sprayed film) 2' by thermal spraying on the surface and having a wall 3' of the heat insulating material on the outside thereof is thus produced.
