摘要 PURPOSE:To enhance the heat retrieval efficiency in a waste heat retrieval system for an arc furnace by providing an exhaust gas preheater in an exhaust gas passage connecting a blast furnace and a heat exchanger so that the exhaust gas at a constant temperature range may be supplied to the heat exchanger all the time. CONSTITUTION:The high temperature exhaust gas G from a blast furnace 1 comprising an arc furnace etc. enters into an exhaust gas preheater 7 through an exhaust gas passage 5 and is reduced to an appropriate temperature by releasing heat to the inner wall and filler 6, the heat of the exhaust gas G being supplied to a thermal medium 4 through a heat exchanger 2 in order to retrieve the waste heat. The thermal medium which has been relieved of the waste heat is retrieved as a power by means of a turbine etc. When the temperature of the exhaust gas G from the blast furnace 1 is lowered, the exhaust gas G entering the preheater 7 is heated by taking the heat from the inner wall 4 and filler 6 which have accmulated the heat so that the heat which is always averaged may be supplied through the heat exchanger 2 to the thermal medium 2 for retrieval. In this manner, the heat retrieval can be efficiently conducted.
