PURPOSE:A cosmetic useful for the skin and hair, safe for the human body and adding stability with time, obtained by blending a cosmetic component with an alkylaminoglycoside or its salt. CONSTITUTION:A cosmetic component is blended with 0.001-30wt% alkylaminoglycoside or its salt, such as methylglucosaminicide, based on total amount of the cosmetic. The cosmetic provides the skin with smoothness, wetness, softening effect on keratin, improving effect on the skin, supplies hair with gloss, softness, raises makeup effect on hair, and improves combing properties. The use of it together with an acid can provide pH buffering effect, emulsification improving effect, etc., and the cosmetic alone can be used as an alkalizing agent for cold wave. The active ingredient is obtained by hydrolyzing a naturally- occurring structural polysaccharide (e.g., chitin, or mucosaccharide), followed by deacetylation to give a monosaccharide type or oligosaccharide type amino sugar, adding an alcohol (preferably 1-5C alcohol) to it, introducing hydrogen chloride to it. |
