PURPOSE:To decrease the gap in a weld zone and to improve the accuracy for positioning of plate materials by the constitution in which the plate materials on a stage are made flat by electromagnets and the plate materials on one side and the plate materials on the other are pushed by moving devices to eliminate the gaps between the end face of both materials. CONSTITUTION:A positioning device 7 of plate materials for welding is constituted of a stage 8 on which several sheets of plate materials 6a, 6b, 6c are placed, stoppers 9 which butt and position at least one sheet of the plate material, a moving device 10 which moves the plate materials toward the stoppers 9, the 2nd moving device 10 which presses and buts the other plate materials toward the plate material butted to the stoppers 9, and a magnetic attracting and fixing device 11 which butts the plate materials butted to each other and attracts the bottom surface at the end of said materials in the form of a reinforcing material 2. |
