PURPOSE:To execute driving easily and at a low cost by making each different cam abut on a turning lever, and changing a moving distance of a magnetic head by selectihg the cam. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic head turning lever 8 is the first turning lever and cross-shaped, a turning lever 11 for selecting the running direction of a tape is the second turning lever and inverted-T-shaped, and both of them are supported pivotally by a turning shaft 9. As for the turning lever 11, capstans 21, 23 and reel bases 43, 39 switch a tape 22 to a neutral state by an L-shaped lever 28. A driving device becomes a pause mode when a head 3 is separated from the tape 22 in a neutral state, and also a frictional resistance of the tape 22 is reduced, the tape 22 is wond at a high speed, and said device becomes a fast forward or rewinding mode. The head 3 moves a little in the direction as indicated with an arrow X1, and the tape 22 is brought to fast forward or to be rewound in a state that it contacts lightly to the head 3. In this case, the turning lever 11 turns and becoms a neutral state, and the turning lever 8 does not operate, therefore, the magnetic head 3 does not execute a half rotation but queues or reviews a tape track which remains in a reproducing mode before a switching operation is executed. |
