PURPOSE:To provide a wide heat conducting area with a low fluid resistance in a fin for heat exchange such as heat pipe by vertically supporting respective ringed fins in each heat exchanging unit on the wall surface by means of annular fin supporting members. CONSTITUTION:A ringed fin having a good heat conducting property is supported in a vertical position snugly on the internal wall surface or external wall surface of a hollow metal pipe 3 for heat exchange by means of a metallic annular fin supporting member 2. In this arrangement, the annular fin supporting member 2 forms a clearance 4 by being placed apart from the wall surface by the amount of the wire diameter of the fin 1. Therefore, it causes only a low resistance for the heat exchanging fluid flowing along the wall surface in the longitudinal direction of the pipe 3, and it possesses a good fin effect and also prevents a biased flow, resulting in a high heat exchanging efficiency. Moreover, the supporting member 2 generates a turbulence in the radial direction relative to the wall surface so as to further enhance the heat exchanging efficiency. |
