PURPOSE:To analyze accurately and easily heavy metals in a sample by impregnating a filter paper with an element as an internal reference substance which is not included in the sample and has an atomic number close to that of an element to be measured. CONSTITUTION:A filter paper 5 provided with a dispersion preventing ring 6 is impregnated with a reference substance contg. an element as an internal reference substance which is not included in a sample and has an atomic number close to that of an element to be measured, and dried to make the filter paper for measuring X-ray fluorescence (XF). After impregnating a fixed amt. of a sample 2 on the filter paper, the intensity of the XF is measured. The concn. of the component to be measured is measured from the intensity ratio of the component to be measured to the internal reference substance by using a reference calibration line. Since the intensity ratio of the XF of the component to be measured to the internal reference substance is used, heavy metals in the sample can be analyzed accurately and easily. |
