PURPOSE:To feed many block casting molds in short time and to reduce the length of a charging nozzle, by making the feed speed of a conveyor, which moves block casting molds and meshes the same with a driving device, faster than the speed of the driving device. CONSTITUTION:A block casting mold 1 diverted from a billet 26 is transferred by a transfer device 27 to a charging nozzle 5 side and is transferred to one end on the nozzle 5 side of a rail 29 where the mold is placed on a supporting block 32 and is descended. When the mold descends down to a transmission mechanism 35, an arm 6 is placed on the mechanism 35 and is conveyed toward a casting direction B. Since the feed speed of the mechanism 35 is faster than the rotating speed of pinch rolls 9, 10, the speed of the mold 1 is made faster than the moving speed of the mold 1 which is moved by being sandwiched between pinch rolls 9, 10. |
