PURPOSE:To provide an air cleaner adapted to utilize an ionic-flow, by allowing for the flow of ionic current between an ionization line and an opposing electrode and arranging a dust collecting electrode at its downstream so that the layer of activated charcoal or a dissolved ozone catalyst may be formed along the inner wall of passageway of supplying air. CONSTITUTION:Upon a voltage being applied between earth electrodes 12, 12' and the high-voltage electrode 13 of dust collecting section simultaneously with the application of high-voltage power between an ionization line 11 and earth electrodes 12, 12', an ionic-flow is generated for collecting dusts. The ionic-flow from the dust collecting section towards a lee side collides with a deflector 16 and an exhaust passage wall 17, and further flows along an activated charcoal layer or an ozone dissolved catalyst 19 formed on the wall. The ionic-flow is finally discharged through an exhaust port 15. An ozone floating in the ionic- flow is thus absorbed by the activated charcoal layer 19, and thereby lowering an ozone concentration without the reduction of gas volume due to an air flow. |
