PURPOSE:To provide a compact air conditioner for humidifying and cooling by providing a heat exchanging tower having a water spraying device and a cylindrical body for removing condensate. CONSTITUTION:When the air is supplied from an inlet 6 into a heat exchanging tower 1, it descends spirally and contacts the sprayed cooling water from a nozzle 4 to be cooled and humidified. Such cooling medium with a saturated humidity flows from an outlet 7 through a spiral guide plate 10 into a cylindrical body 2 disposed around the outer circumference of a heat exchanging tower 1. The condensate gathers and flows down on the wall due to the centrifugal force by its spiral upward movement. The wet cooling fluid from which the condensate has been removed is guided out of a take-out opening 8. The removed condensate is drained from drain holes 5, 9. In this manner, the humidifying and cooling gas can be adjusted without requiring a wide space for installation. |
